I always loved the painting Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose by John Singer Sargent. So I made an attempt to copy it as a photograph in the middle of the summer with some great Seattle kids. A variation of course. Wow, I never knew it was so hard to light a lantern without burning down the neighborhood!
